We´ve just had a visit from Glenn from Dodson Motorsport. He´s given us some training on the gearboxes so now we´re authorized Pro Dealer for Dodson Motorsport! The only one in Scandinavia! It´s been a looong wait but we finally got our set of Ohlins coilovers for the democar. As far as we know, it´s the first set outside of Japan. We installed them last week and tested them last Saturday at a track event here in Sweden. The results were outstanding. We ran fastest in our class (R-tires and slicks with a max size of 10.5″/26″) and were almost as fast as a Corvette C6 on slicks with roughly 600bhp. The next test will be more valuable since we´ll run the same track as we´ve done before so we can compare lap times. Below are a few pictures of the shocks and also of what the democar looks like at the moment. Last week we did the first job on the second generation GT-R. It was a black 2011 (US 2012) Black Edition. We replaced the exhaust with a GTC Titan exhaust and the front brake pads with Carbonetic R-spec items. Mr S will be back later for more upgrades since he´s been bitten by the tuning bug. All the sales back in January had to turn into physical work at some point. Last week some of the cars were gathered so we didn´t want to miss the opportunity to take a couple of pictures. Even though you can´t see it in the pictures, this is a good example of all the different work we do. It ranges from a simple stage 1 tune with exhaust and COBB Accessport through the mighty P800 Package from Switzer to gearbox upgrades and repairs aswell as brake upgrades. We have a few sets of Toyo R888 in stock. The price is really low since we want to clear stock. The sizes are 285 front and 315 rear and they fit the OEM wheels without any rubbing. We use these on our democar and we´re very happy with them. The set we have on at the moment have seen four trackdays and around 8000kms of street driving and they´re not worn out yet. The last time we went to Poland for GT Polonia was back in 2006. A lot has happened since then. We´ve replaced the R34 GT-R V-spec with a R35 GT-R and as you probably know, it´s been heavily tuned. Well, this year we were back among the wild and crazy party people in Poznan. And what a blast it was! Not only for the nice track driving, but for the parties, the nice dinners and all the awesome people! Here are some pics from the event.

We got an invitation from Gustav that runs GTBOARD, to participate in the latest GTBOARD event. Since we tried it last year when the democar was standard we thought we´d give it a go now that we got it upgraded. Last year we met a Koenigsegg CCR and didn´t stand a chance. Both our democar and a few customer cars have been fitted with a HKS Legamax exhaust from the downpipes and back. This includes a muffled midpipe and a catback system. We choose to use the Legamax due to the low noice level. There´s a 95dB noice limit on Swedish tracks so we needed a quiet exhaust. Since the Switzer P800 kit is tried and tested on the democar with brilliant results, it was time to turn our attention to the gearbox. And since we have a great supplier in Willall Racing we didn´t have to look too far to find the right parts. The gearbox in the democar has been upgraded with WR35CC gear fastener system, WR35CCL clutch retaining clips and WR35PS piston seal replacement. We have these parts in stock and can of course help you get the job done on your car. If you want to upgrade the gearbox in your car, just drop us a mail and we´ll help you out. We are one of very few workshops in Europe that have experience of working with the GR6 box in the GT-R.

We´ve been very busy but now a lot of things are in the works! First up for 2010 is the new carbon seat from our friends at Password JDM/Tecnocraft. The seat was first made for Steves Lambo but so many wanted it that the guys made brackets that suit the GT-R aswell. We met up with photographer Oskar Bakke last Wednesday and did a spontaneous photoshoot. This is picture one of two. As you can see, the Zele Performance Carbon Grille is on the car now aswell as the sideskirts, fender vents and bonnet vents from Zele Performance. Paul, a good friend of 23gtr.se and I met up with Dan, a photographer, after a minimeet in Stockholm the other week. We were also joined by the new owner of our old democar, a Bayside Blue R34 GT-R V-spec UK and another owner of a R34 GT-R V-spec. Due to bad weather there were only two decent shots that came out of roughly one hour of shooting. The result however is very, very good. Enjoy!
